The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a thrust gable bay and part width, return hip roofed verandah. The verandah is set on concrete Doric columns set over a rendered brick balustrade. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights. A concrete stair spans from the verandah to the garden.

It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with thrust gable bay and a part width return skillion roofed verandah. The verandah has been partially enclosed with weatherboard cladding. The verandah is set on timber posts with a simple frieze. It has a central door and hopper light flanked by a double hung sash window. The gable bay features a set of three casement windows under a sunhood. The roofscape features three render capped chimneys.

The front door is located under the return verandah and addresses the street. The front facade features a set of casement windows and a corner window suite.

1945 Friend Found: Mrs E. L. Green, of 29 Bedford Street, East Fremantle, has received from the Daily News the address of Mr H. A. Spiers, of England, who wrote asking for the whereabouts of Fremantle friends he knew in 1901. Mrs Green said her brother, Mr Bowen, served on the s.s. Charon with Mr Spiers at the time and her brother was now living at Wickharn, Newcastle, N.S.W.

1945 P.O.W. RELEASED.Mrs E(edith). L. Green, of 29 Bedford street, East Fremantle, was yesterday informed by cablegram that her son, Pte G(george). P. Green (2/7th Field Ambulance), who was taken prisoner on Crete in June, 1941, arrived in England by air on Thursday night after being released from Stalag 344.Germany. Before the war Pte Green was a chemist's apprentice. He went abroad in September, 1940,.at the age of 20 years.Cpl J. Costello, formerly a subeditor on the "Kalgoorlie Miner,",has been released from a prison camp in Germany and is safe and well In England. A cablegram to this effect was received by his mother yesterday. Cpl Costello was taken prisoner at Ruin Ridge.Mrs S. W.cooper, of East Cannington, has been advised by the Air Board that her husband, W/O Syd Cooper, RAAF, has been Liberated by the Allied forces and has arrived in England. He was shot down over Danzig Bay on April 9,1944. Sgt R. C. East and Mrs East have received advice that their son, Cpt Tom East, of the 2/11th Battalion,is now in England. He was captured on Crete. Cpt East enlisted from Manjimup. Mrs Agnes Winch, of Pemberton, has been informed that her son, Pte Richard Jerome Winch, is at the AIF Reception Camp at Eastbourne, England. While serving with the 2/11th Battalion he was captured on Crete. Pte Winch was one of the prisoners who were marched on foot 500 miles across Germany.

No 33 Bedford Street is a single storey house constructed in brickwork with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. The front elevation is symmetrically planned with a full width, return bull nose roofed verandah. The verandah is set on turned timber posts with a gable marking the entry. The verandah has been extended to the north to act as a carport. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by side lights and double hung sash windows. The roofscape features a render capped chimney.

1943 MINISTER HURT Thirty-four-year-old Methodist minister Frank Wilmot of 33 Bedford Street, East Fremantle. was severely injured about 10 a.m. today when a bicycle he was riding collided with a motor truck. Mr Wilmot was admitted to Fremantle Hospital suffering from a possible fractured pelvis, lacerations to the face, concussion and an injury to the spine. It is an expression of the Federation Bungalow style that has been modified. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a thrust gable bay and a part width, return hip roofed verandah. The verandah has been partially enclosed in rendered brick. It terminates at the gable bay and is set on steel posts. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights and a double hung sash window. The gable bay features a pair of double hung sash windows.

CAULIFLOWER SOUFFLE WITH BACON
One cauliflower, salt, paprika, thin slices bacon, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon flour, 4 tablespoons grated celery, 3 eggs, salt and pepper. Put alternate layers of lightly cooked cauliflower and bacon into a well-buttered baking-dish and cover with a souffle mixture made as follows: Melt butter in saucepan, add flour,mix well, then add 1½ cups milk. Stir till it boils, simmer 4 minutes and add 3 egg-yolks and grated cheese, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well, then fold in stiffly-beaten whites of 3 eggs and pour over cauliflower in dish. Bake in moderate oven 30 minutes (do not open the door until mixture is ready to come out). Serve immediately.
