Late Federation / Interwar Domestic Carpenter Bungalow w Queen Anne Influences

No 14 Walter Street is a single storey house constructed in timber framing and weatherboard cladding with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is an expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a part width return hip roof verandah. The verandah is supported on timber posts with a timber and fibrous cement balustrade between posts. The majority of the verandah has been enclosed with glazed louvres. The thrust bay features a double hung sash window under a sunhood. There is a central door flanked by single pane double hung windows. The roofscape features a brick chimney.

Californian Bungalow

No 15 Walter Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable tiled roof. It is an expression of the Inter-War California Bungalow style. It is symmetrically composed with a central gable roofed porch. The half-timbered porch is supported on Tuscan columns set over rendered piers. A rendered brick balustrade spans between the piers. The porch is flanked by two sets of casement windows under sunhoods. The entry door is located under the porch and is flanked by a set of casement windows. The front elevation has lower walls that are face brick and rendered above sill level. The roofscape features a brick chimney.

Inter-War Arts & Crafts Bungalow

No 17 Walter Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gabled tiled roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a full width and return hip roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on short timber posts set over rendered piers. The verandah roof extends over the gable bay. A prominent gable sits centrally on the roofscape. The gable bay sits in front of the main gable. Both gables feature weatherboard cladding. The front elevation features a set of casement windows and a pair of doors. The entry door is located on the south elevation under the return verandah. The lower walls are rendered and the upper walls are face brick. The roofscape features a tall brick chimney and finials.

No 21 Walter Street is a single storey house constructed in limestone, brick and rendered brick with a hipped tiled roof. It is a very fine expression of the Inter-War Spanish Mission style. It is asymmetrically composed with a part width arcaded porch. The porch sits proud of the house and is supported on barley twist columns. There is a pair of front doors flanked by sets of casement windows. There is a sunhood over the northern set of windows. The place sits on limestone foundations. The lower walls to the front facade are face brick and rendered above sill height. A soldier course header divides the face brick and rendered sections. The side elevations are rendered. The roofscape features a rendered chimney.

No 22 Walter Street is a single storey house constructed in rendered brick house with a corrugated iron roof. There is a recent second storey addition to the rear. It is an expression of the Post-World War II Contemporary style. It is symmetrically composed with a full width skillion roofed verandah supported on steel columns. There is a central door flanked by windows. The original horizontal format timber windows and doors have been replaced with aluminium windows.
