ARCHITECTURE

Federation, Domestic Carpenter w Regency Influences

No. 48 (previously was no. 108) Sewell street is a single story cottage constructed in timber framing and weatherboard cladding with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. A small gable is situated over the entry. It is a simple expression of the Federation Bungalow style with some modifications. The front elevation is symmetrically planned with a central door flanked by a sidelight and double hung sash windows. The facade features full width skillion roofed verandah supported on stop chamfered timber posts set over a concrete floor. The verandah, front door and windows appear to be replacements.
