Inter-War / Diagonal Plan Bungalow

No 38 Dalgety Street is a single storey house constructed in tuck pointed brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable tiled roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a thrust gable bay and a part width return hip roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on timber posts with post brackets. A vertical timber balustrade runs between the posts. The verandah terminates at a thrust bay on both ends. The half-timbered gable bays feature sets of three casement windows and sunhoods. The entrance door is on the north elevation under the return verandah. The roofscape features a brick chimney and finials.
