No 244 Canning Highway is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped tiled roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. The place is located on a corner lot and addresses both Canning Highway and Clayton Street. The west elevation is asymmetrically planned with an offset porch supported on rendered columns. A rendered balustrade spans between the columns. The entry door is located on the south elevation under the porch. The main windows are casements with hopper lights. Walls are rendered brick with a face brick band. The roofscape features rendered chimneys and finials.
