ARCHITECTURE

Single storey stone corner shope and attached residence of Simple Free Classical with Georgian influences style, with decorated parapet.

No. 99 (previously was no. 189) King street is a single storey residence constructed in rendered masonry construction with a hipped tiled roof. The former corner shop has a skillion corrugated iron roof behind a parapet wall. The place is a Federation Free Classical style shop with a Federation Bungalow style attached residence. The shop has a classical derived parapet, a corner entry door and flanking shop windows. The canopy has been removed and the windows a have been replaced. The attached residence has rendered brick walls. The facade features a verandah supported on Tuscan columns set on brick piers. There is a central door flanked by a double hung sash window.

1960 Theresa and Vincent Cunningham were milk vendors in East Fremantle for 30 yrs from 1958- 1988. They traded as VT & TD Cunningham and rented here with three children in 1960 before moving to Staton Road. (see Notable People)
