Inter-War Californian Bungalow
No 137 Petra Street is a single storey house constructed in limestone and rendered brick house a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is an expression of the Inter-War California Bungalow style. The place sits on a corner lot and addresses both Petra Street and Fraser Street. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a wide gabled roof porch to the south. The porch features half-timbering and is set on paired stout columns set over limestone pier. A rendered balustrade spans between the piers. There is a central door flanked by sets of casement windows. The roofscape features a tall masonry chimney. The place sits on limestone foundations. Access to the garage is via Fraser Street.
